The Andersons, Sylvania, 6– 8 PM. Enjoy the wonderful wines from Poggio Anima Winery of Italy: 1."Uriel" Grillo, 2. "Belial" Sangiovese, 3. "Asmodeus" Nero d'Avola, 4. "Samael" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. $8 per flight or nominal fee per sample (includes munchies).

Walt Churchill’s Market, 3320 Briarfield. Maumee, (419) 794-4000. 12:00 – 5:00 PM. The Wines of Bordeaux… and a discussion of the June 2014 - Wine Tour to Bordeaux. Our Wine Manager, Austin Beeman, spent the month of January in Bordeaux, France starting work on The Wine & Spirits MBA. While there, he got a new appreciation of this most traditional of wine regions. The world's most important region for the last 300 years, Bordeaux sets the standard in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, & Sauvignon Blanc. Nominal fee per sample.
Up and Coming: The Bistro at Maumee Wines, (419) 893-2525, 2556 Parkway Plaza, Maumee. Tuesday March 18, 6:30 to 8:30. Wine Tasting: Fine Wines From Oregon State. Chef Joshua Cooper will pair hors d' oeuvres with Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir. $35 per person.
