Concha Y Toro 2009 Gran Reserva Serie Riberas Cabernet Sauvignon

This stylish and smooth Cab from Chile delivers bushels of fruit flavors at a great price point.

The Gran Reserva Serie Riberas is a special selection with grapes coming from vineyards located close to two different river basins. The Riberas wines are distinct and fresh.

This Cab has 10% Carmenere in the mix to provide a silky smooth texture. The wine is aged for 14 months in French and American oak, but the tannins are seamless. The overall effect is fruit forward with cherries and chocolate.

We’ve found the Concha Y Toro line to be a dependable, quality pick at a variety of price points. This is quite a value at about $19. It is popular, so it sells out quickly.

The Gran Reserva is a winning wine that pairs with hearty meat dishes or stands alone as a enjoyable after dinner vino.
